Born in Jammu (Jammu & Kashmir), Sangeeta S Bahl is, today, a successful Entrepreneur who balances professional duties with family and social responsibilities with ease and flair, making everyone sit up and exclaim “How does she do it all?!” A perfect example of beauty, talent, grace and acumen, Sangeeta has conquered many facets of life, and the latest in her list of to-do is climbing Mount Everest this year (2017) at the age of 52.
Founder, Director and Image Consultant of Impact Image Consultants, based in Gurgaon, Sangeeta serves Individuals and Corporates seeking help with their personal Image and Style. Additionally, as a Keynote Speaker and Trainer, she specialises in Mentoring and Coaching individuals, and corporate staff as well. Impact Image Consultants also provide Personal and Professional Branding, Certified Image consultant Courses, Workshops, and Seminars for both Individuals and Corporates.
A self-made woman who started working at the tender age of 16, Sangeeta dabbled in modeling and did a stint in TV serials too. Then from being a Miss India Finalist to Cabin Services Director whilst flying for Emirates Airlines, everything has added to her rich experience. She was the first certified Image Consultant in India from the Association of Image Consultants International, USA, as well as being the only Indian among 19 international consultants to have co-authored a book titled “Executive Etiquette Power” released in the USA.
Recently, she was instrumental in being part of the Uniform committee of Emirates airline and has designed the uniform sarees and scarves of Cambata Aviation based out of T3 Delhi and Mumbai for a staff over 2000 employees.
Apart from work and family, she is truly passionate about women causes, especially the ones haunting the women back in her home town, and in India in general. Safety for women seems like an utopian concept these days, with Nirbhaya-like incidents (or some even worse!) happening almost every day in India. With her NGO – Impact Women Power Association – she is dedicated in upgrading the lives of the women, starting with the women in Jammu, via skills training. On the same note, she is climbing Mount Everest in 2017 (this year, in a couple of months!) to raise awareness about safety of women. Gone are the days of candle light vigils, now’s the time for action, and climbing Mount Everest seems to be the option Sangeeta can utilise best to promote this much-needed awareness to improve the plight of women in India. Here’s more about climbing for the cause..
Age is just a number for Sangeeta, and her dream is to scale the 7 summits of the world. She has already scaled 5 out of these 7 summits of the world – here’s her experience in the mountains.
